REGISTRATION IS OPEN
Registration is now open for the Fall 2023 season. Register at www.ayso294.org. Our games are held at Mountain Mesa Park and each season we have an amazing community of 200+ players and their families who volunteer to make our season successful.
SEASON DATES
Our program is intended to begin the second week of September 2023 (subject to change) for all divisions. All divisions are expected to end sometime in late November 2023 (although some of the older division teams may move on to Area and Section play postseason).

TEAM FORMATION
How are teams formed?
Teams are first formed by assigning the Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Referee, Team Manager, and Board Member volunteers and their associated players. Then we work to balance the teams based on the players’ experience and playing level. Practice schedules will be dependent on the Volunteer Head Coach and field availability.
Do you need volunteers?
Family volunteers make our program run smoothly and keep our program affordable for Kern Valley families! AYSO is a 100% volunteer-run organization. It only takes a few hours to become qualified as an introductory-level coach or referee. Most volunteer roles take only a few hours per month or less. You will be able to sign up for a volunteer role during registration or afterward. The following volunteer roles require a background check, which AYSO pays for at no cost to the volunteer: Head Coach, Referee, Board Member, Assistant Coach, and Team Manager.
Do you have a division for players 14 years old?
Because we generally do not have enough players for a U16 division, the region will be offering 14-year-old players the option to continue playing in the U14 division. However, those players would not be eligible for area or section play postseason. Players will register in the U16 division and then be moved down to U14.
